Sugilite ranges in color from deep purple to pale lavender and
even sometimes appears as violet blue. It was discovered in 1944 in Japan
by Professor Kenici Sugi, which is where Sugilite gets it's name. It is also
known as "Royal Azel" and "Luvulite." It has
enjoyed a phenomenal growth in popularity.
Sugilite is considered one of the most powerful psychic gemstones.
